Leading Through Change

This program is approved for 1 continuing education credit hour through HRCI and SHRM!

  • Topic Description:
  • the discussion will focus on the ‘people’ side of change rather than a change management process.
  • About the Speaker:

Tara Gebhardt is the Corporate Training Manager at Bank of Springfield, investing her efforts in Management and Leadership development. Tara believes that training should be enjoyable and interactive. As a professionally trained facilitator, she has implemented numerous large-scale training initiatives in her 11 years at BOS.

Most recently, Tara introduced a 360° feedback program targeting the emerging leaders throughout the organization. The program helps leaders to understand their effectiveness and presents opportunities for growth paired with self-directed development plans.

In the spring of 2017, Tara launched the company’s online learning portal, integrating eLearning courses and blended learning solutions to meet the ever-changing needs of the company’s widely dispersed workforce.

Prior to that, Tara orchestrated the implementation of a bank-wide virtual referral platform. The platform is now engrained in BOS culture, and has generated an excess of $6M for the bank.

Over time and with the support of the bank’s Senior Management team, Professional Development gained momentum, resulting in what is now a true learning organization. Her background in Business and Leadership inspired what she candidly describes as her ‘recipe for training success’: 1 part theory, 1 part shared experience, 2 parts practical application, and the rest should just be fun.
