Paying Attention to Pay Equity & Creating a Diversity Initiative Plan

Both the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) have developed approaches to analyzing employers’ compensation systems. Proactive monitoring of your organization’s compensation system in light of these enforcement strategies is a critical component of HR success. Angela Adams, the HR Director with HR Source will be giving a one-hour presentation designed for those responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring compensation practices; and those responsible for Affirmative Action compliance.

Leveraging the diversity in your organization is crucial for succeeding in a global marketplace or with a highly diverse customer base. Having employees with a variety of skills and backgrounds gives you an advantage when it comes to innovation, creativity, and a wide variety of other important business skills. Donna Moody, Training Manager with AAIM will be giving a two-hour presentation that provides recommendations on how to create and align your diversity and inclusion strategy with your key organizational objectives to make it much more likely that all levels within your organization will embrace the strategy. 

At the end of this workshop you will be able to:  

  • Conduct a self-analysis for gender or race/ethnicity-based compensation discrimination
  • Understand the OFCCP’s current approach to compensation analysis
  • Develop responses to allegations of compensation discrimination
  • Link diversity and inclusion with outcomes that matter to your organizational leaders
  • Develop a plan (mission statement) and implementation schedule that can support the diversity strategy with measurable objectives
  • Build a diverse workforce by recruiting through a variety of channels
