What a Wonderful World: The Importance of Gratitude and Perspective in our Roles as HR Practitioners

 Topic Description

  • Many Human Resource Professionals have overcome some of the most daunting challenges of their careers in the past two years. We now find ourselves coming to terms with “the Great Resignation” that has profound long-term impacts on our businesses and organizations. Simultaneously, our employees are struggling with mental health challenges that impact their ability to participate in the work force to their highest potential. This uniquely difficult time calls for us focus our annual recognition event on ways we as HR practitioners can adjust to our challenges and help others to thrive and find excellence even in these times of difficulty. Our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Leigh Steiner, will share a motivational message and insights from her extensive experience in organizational development and the public mental health field. She will cover topics related to the practice of gratitude in the personal and professional realm and its impact on our overall well-being, as well as its impact on outcomes for our organizations. Through activities, breakout groups, and compelling storytelling, she will offer wisdom about how to reframe our personal and organizational perspectives to create cultures and environments that support resiliency and growth mindsets in ourselves, our employees, and our organizations.
