What is & is Not Employee Engagement

Topic Description:
Most employers, when asked, would say they believe they are engaging their employees, but most do not have a formal engagement plan in place or an effective one. And many confuse engagement with appreciation. The National Business Trends Survey reports that over 82% of business leaders polled (nationally & regionally) say employee engagement is challenging for their business. But only 23% say they have plans to implement changes with their formal employee engagement program to strengthen their business results in 2023. We all know that employee engagement is imperative to the health of our organizations, why aren’t more employers making employee engagement a priority? Join us for a facilitated conversation on how implementing a formal engagement plan can increase your overall productivity.
This is an in-person event. HR Roundtables are opportunities to share and learn directly from other CIC-SHRM members. This roundtable will be facilitated by Phil Brandt and Carin Smith, AAIM Employer’s Association to help us get the most out of the session.
